SHORE EXCURSION IN STOCKHOLM
Fomous for being the home of the Nobel Prizes, Stockholm offers its visitors many reasons to be visited.
The Old Town Gamla Stan is the largest and best-preserved medieval town in all of Central Europe; through a series of bridges, it includes the islands of Stanholmen Riddarholmen and Helgeandsholmen, fact that gives the city the name of "City of the bridges".
During our shore excursion tour in Stockholm we immerse ourself in the city life of Stockholm: strolling through the streets of Stockholm, we will visit the most important monuments in the city like the Medieval Cathedral, the Parliament and the Island of Djurgarden.
We will focus on one of the most important attractions in Gamla Stan: the Royal Palace. The Royal Palace of Stockholm is the biggest castle in word that is still in use by a king. Built on the old castle Tre Kronor, that was destroyed in a fire in the year 1697, today the Palace houses inside interesting museums, such as the Royal Armory.
The Vasa Museum of Stockholm is one of the most interesting attractions that can we visit in Stockholm: located on the island of Djurgården, the museum displays the only almost fully intact 17th century ship that has ever been salvaged.
