SHORE EXCURSION IN KNOSSOS (CRETE)

Departing from the port by bus, we will head towards Heraklion to make our visit of the famous archaeological site of Knossos, the ancient capital of the great kingdom of Minos. Our guided tour will take us through amazing ruins of the ancient palace complex, once the religious and administrative center of the region. The restoration undertaken by Sir Arthur Evans, although criticized by somebody for their modernity, they help the tourists to appreciate the building as it was in the past, as well as to understand the labyrinthine complexity .
After the tour, we will return to the port by bus.

*Shore excursions could be subject to variations due to external causes as Cruise Companies politics, weather conditions, duration of the stay of the ship in the port, legal demonstrations
