SHORE EXCURSION IN CASABLANCA and RABAT
Leaving behind the port of Casablanca we will drive to Rabat, the administrative capital and second most populated city in Morocco after Casablanca, where examples of the architecture of imperial period coexist harmoniously with modern buildings, creating a perfect mix of old and new.
Our panoramic tour will start from the visit (external) of the Royal Palace, majestic example of Islamic architecture, to be continued with the visit of the Mausoleum of Mohamed V (Mechouar) and the Hassan Tower, minaret of a mosque built on Roman-ruins Byzantines. The tower, made of red bricks, the remains of the mosque and the modern Mausoleum of Mohammed V, form together one of the most important historical and tourist complex in Rabat.
Hassan Tower is an uncompleted minaret of 44 meters ordered by Sultan El Mansour who wanted to build the largest mosque in the Arabic world. Three sides are pink, one in gray due to the sea breeze. The entrances are guarded by four white horses and the changing of the guard every hour is a unique show.
Then we'll walk along the garden of Oudayas Kasbah, an ancient fortress dating back to the twelfth century, from where we will start our way back to Casablanca to make a sightseeing tour (about 2 hours) of the city.
Casablanca, modern industrial city, characterized by wide boulevards and large buildings, and its unique architecture, a fusion of modern styles and Arabs, which is reflected especially in the domes, columns etc. We will visit the Great Mosque of Hassan II, boasting a minaret 200 meters high, overlooking the city and the whole area. We will continue the excursion to the Habous district, where we can see the Royal Palace, the Mohamed V Square and the residential area of Anfa.
After the visit we will return to the port by bus.
NB During the excursion will not be conducted in any shop.
